Mike McCarthy takes hard stance on Dak Prescott after latest Dallas Cowboys playoff loss

Shortly after, and even during the Dallas Cowboys’ playoff loss to the Green Bay Packers, many fans wanted to see team owner Jerry Jones make significant changes to the team. Most criticized Mike McCarthy, hoping to see a new head coach in Dallas. Others targeted Dak Prescott after the NFL’s top-ranked scoring offense was held to just seven points in the first half of their 48-32 Wild Card loss.

But what about Dak Prescott? How does the Cowboys’ QB feel about Dallas’ latest embarrassment?

Others may want to see the Dallas Cowboys move on from Dak Prescott, but not Mike McCarthy. After helping McCarthy reach the playoffs each of the past three seasons, the Cowboys coach says he wouldn’t make any changes at QB.

“Like I said earlier, I believe in Dak Prescott. I think he’s the answer. He’s part of the solution moving forward. I think, as difficult as this time is right now, we can work through this emotional period that we’re in. We’ll continue to build off of what he brings to the table.”

While Prescott may have ended the Cowboys’ season on a low note, people quickly forget how the Cowboys’ leader was one of the best QBs in the NFL this year, leading all others in touchdown passes, while having the league’s top scoring offense.

Of course, all anyone ever remembers is the playoffs, but one bad game doesn’t have anyone in Dallas suddenly thinking they need to make drastic changes. At least not at QB.
