Michigan’s Jim Harbaugh may be suspended for entire 2024 college football season too

Jim Harbaugh has been suspended for the remainder of the Michigan Wolverines’ regular season. In total, he’s set to miss three games due to the ongoing investigation into Connor Stalions and Michigan’s sign-stealing controversy.

Yet, now there are also growing concerns that Harbaugh could face much, much stiffer penalties.

According to college football insider Bruce Feldman, Harbaugh may even be suspended for the entirety of Michigan’s season in 2024 too.

“It would not be surprising if Jim Harbaugh could be suspended for the bulk of the 2024 season, I’m told.”

Michigan is in Maryland taking on the Terrapins today, with Sherrone Moore set to coach his third game of the season. He’ll then have one final matchup against the Ohio State Buckeyes on November 25 in Michigan’s biggest matchup of the season.

As to the off-field battle, after initially being ready to fight the NCAA’s decision to suspend Harbaugh, Michigan decided to stand down and accept the three-game suspension. But if he’s facing even more discipline, the rumors of Harbaugh heading back to the NFL will likely only grow.

With several NFL teams expected to search for a new head coach this offseason, Harbaugh should have plenty of other options available, but first things first, we’ll have to hear more about what the NCAA decides on his future for the 2024 season.
