The Miami Heat are reportedly bringing back point guard Goran Dragic, re-signing their starting point guard to a multi-year contract to kick off NBA Free Agency.
Dragic, who missed a majority of the NBA Finals with a plantar fascia tear, was always expected to return. With the Heat also prioritizing long-term cap flexibility, in an effort to pursue two-time reigning NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo in 2021, Pat Riley found a deal that works for everyone.

Dragic was sensational for the Miami Heat during the 2019-’20 season. He averaged 16.2 points, 5.1 assists and 3.2 rebounds per game, averaging 28.2 minutes off the bench across 59 games.

After re-signing Dragic, Miami will also be bringing back another key rotational piece from this past season.

Leonard started in 49-of-51 games this past season, typically playing around 20 minutes per contest. He averaged 6.1 points, 5.1 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game. Importantly for Miami, he averaged 41.4% from beyond the arc.
