Washington Nationals ace Max Scherzer is one of MLB’s most dominant pitchers. He’s also a heck of a tough guy who isn’t letting a broken nose stop him from doing his job.

On Tuesday during batting practice, Scherzer broke his nose during batting practice as he was doing a bunting drill.

On Wednesday morning, Jon Heyman of MLB Network shared that he is hearing Scherzer is still planning to pitch tonight against the Philadelphia Phillies.

That’s some serious dedication, as Scherzer will no doubt be playing through pain.

So far this season, Scherzer has an ERA of 2.81 with a 1.08 WHIP, 136 strikeouts while posting a 5-5 record in 99.1 innings of work.
