Marvin Harrison Jr. stepped on campus at Ohio State University as a four-star recruit out of high school who drew NFL comparisons to Kenny Golladay as a future projected Day 3 pick. Just a few years later, the departing Buckeyes’ star is one of the most coveted players in the 2024 NFL Draft.

While quarterbacks Caleb Williams and Drake Maye are viewed as the best two draft prospects in 2024, not every team needs a quarterback. However, every NFL club is looking for offensive weapons and there is a shared belief around the league that Harrison Jr. can eventually become a perennial All-Pro selection.

The 6-foot-3 wideout showed tantalizing potential early in his days at Ohio State, but he saw limited playing time as a freshman. After netting 139 receiving yards and 3 touchdowns in 2021, Harrison Jr. broke on to the season as a sophomore with 1,263 receiving yards and four touchdowns.

He was named a unanimous All-American in 2022 and finished as a finalist for the Biletnikoff Award. While he missed out on being the nation’s top receiver as a sophomore, he earned it in 2023 with another phenomenal campaign. Now, as he likely heads to the next level, there is reportedly one team already prepared to take him.

According to Pro Football Network’s Adam Caplan, Harrison Jr. won’t fall past the Arizona Cardinals if he is available when they are on the clock in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Arizona currently holds the second overall pick, right behind the Chicago Bears. With Chicago reportedly locked in on one quarterback, the Cardinals would be perfectly positioned to draft Harrison Jr. at No. 2 overall.

Even if Arizona slips behind the likes of the New England Patriots and Washington Commanders, both teams need quarterbacks and offensive tackles. That creates a scenario where no matter where the Cardinals land within the top-four picks, they will be able to take Harrison Jr. and pair him with Kyler Murray for years to come. With Murray under center and Harrison Jr. as his top pass-catcher, the Cardinals’ offense would take flight in 2024.
