Markelle Fultz will play Monday night for Sixers

Markelle Fultz

Markelle Fultz hasn’t played a game for the Philadelphia 76ers since the beginning of the season, but that’s about to change on Monday night.

The team announced that Fultz will be available to play against the Denver Nuggets tonight.

Then Derek Bodner of The Athletic confirmed the rookie point guard will play.

In the four games Fultz played at the start of the year, he averaged six points, 1.8 assists and 2.3 rebounds per game. He’s been out since then with a shoulder injury that never seemed like it was going to heal, but after a lengthy rehabilitation effort he’s finally ready to go once again.

Fultz is coming back at a great time for Philly, which clinched a playoff spot and is currently the No. 4 seed in the east with a record of 42-30. He’ll have a couple of weeks to integrate into Philadelphia’s rotation before the postseason begins.
