Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban has been quite outspoken against Donald Trump this year. He escalated his criticism in an interview with “Extra,” saying Trump is getting “stupider” as he campaigns around the nation.
He also took a huge shot at the Republican presidential candidate in an exchange with “Extra” host Renee Bargh.
Cuban would be pleased to work directly against Trump this fall. He has petitioned Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton to make him her running mate and says she “needs” him in order to defeat Trump (more on that here).
In the same “Extra” interview, Cuban also bashed Trump for his recent comment that he is the “king of debt” in an interview with “CBS This Morning.”
“That’s not good for America,” Cuban added, noting that he doesn’t usually become involved in politics. “But now, it’s so crazy that if somebody in the middle doesn’t speak up, some topics don’t get covered.”
It’s going to be interesting to see if Cuban continues to make noise in the political arena. He hasn’t been shy about making public statements this year, which hasn’t been his cup of tea in past presidential election cycles.
Will he get a chance to run against the man he called the “Seinfeld candidate?” One can only hope.
