Ravens’ All-Pro tight end Mark Andrews helps save a life on flight from Baltimore to Phoenix

Mark Andrews and the Baltimore Ravens didn’t end up with a Super Bowl ring on their fingers despite entering the playoffs as the AFC favorites.

While the Ravens’ season didn’t end the way they wanted to, Andrews has earned some good karma thanks to a life-saving measure he took while on a trip from Baltimore to Phoenix.

They say athletes aren’t heroes, and while that may be true, every once in a while a player like Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews puts on his cape and performs heroic actions anyway.

That’s what happened when the All-Pro was on a flight from Baltimore to Phoenix on Thursday.

According to a Baltimore native, Andrews helped a woman who was experiencing a medical emergency in mid-flight. The woman had low blood pressure, and doctors and nurses were unable to find a strong pulse.

Not long after, a man stood up from his seat, asking, “Could it be her blood sugar? I have a diabetic testing kit.”

This man turned out to be a hero by the name of Mark Andrews, the same one who plays for the Baltimore Ravens.

Andrews then proceeded to instruct the medical professionals on how the test kit worked, helping the woman’s heart-rate stabilize.

Once the flight landed, paramedics rushed to her assistance, ensuring everything was okay with her health. Meanwhile, Andrews just went about his day as if nothing had happened, like a true humble giant.

The entire story, as told by Andrew Springs, who was on the flight, can be found on X. Here’s the introductory link for those interested.
