Los Angeles Lakers superstar Lebron James kept it short, strong, and to the point on the topic on comments from Memphis Grizzlies disruptor Dillon Brooks earlier this week.

Lebron James and the Los Angeles Lakers head into a big Game 3 on Saturday night at Crypto.com Arena. Their series with the Memphis Grizzlies is tied at a game apiece after LA scored a big victory in Game 1. However, despite being without several key players, including Ja Morant, the Grizzlies roared back and tied the best-of-seven in Game 2.

While Lebron James had a strong performance earlier this week, it did not stop Memphis forward Dillon Brooks from getting into his usual trash-talk antics and taking a couple of shots at the NBA scoring king after their recent win.

Los Angeles Lakers record (’22-’23): 43-39

“I don’t care, he’s old. I was waiting for that. I was expecting him to do that. He wanted to say something when I got my fourth foul. He should’ve been saying that earlier on. I poke bears, I don’t respect anyone until they come and [score 40 on me]. I pride myself on what I do, defense and taking on any challenge that’s on the board.”

The comments about the Los Angeles Lakers star were surprising but trends with the brash and bold personality of Brooks. On Friday, James was uninterested in getting into a back-and-forth with the man 11 years his junior or any other nonsense with the media before the two squads renew their issues this weekend.

“I don’t want to talk much more. Tomorrow’s going to be a great game. I’m not here for the bulls***. I’d rather play, and that’s it.”

Game 3 of the Los Angeles Lakers vs. Memphis Grizzlies goes down on Saturday night at 10 PM ET on ESPN.
