WATCH: New York Jets’ rookie QB Zach Wilson ruled out with knee injury

NFL: New York Jets at New England Patriots

Zach Wilson injury update: Wilson has been ruled out for the remainder of the game with a knee injury.

In a season where the New York Jets have struggled to do anything real well, now their prized No. 2 overall draft pick, Zach Wilson had to leave their Week 7 contest with a knee injury. Wilson was seen heading back to the Jets locker room with a noticeable limp.

Wilson had taken back-to-back hits, which some would say were dirty and a bit late. As New York’s offensive line has struggled to protect their 2021 first-round pick all season, this was simply the latest example.

Here is the play where Wilson suffered the knee injury.

Backup quarterback Mike White has entered the game against the New England Patriots in relief of the former BYU star.

The severity of Zach Wilson’s injury is unknown. We’ll have updates regarding the Jets’ starting quarterback’s health when they become available. For now, the Jets have announced Wilson’s return to the game is questionable.

The Jets have faced some criticism for not having a more established, veteran quarterback behind the young signal-caller, now fans will get a chance to see what the 2018 5th round pick can do.

With the Jets down 17-0 against their AFC East division rivals, White was able to quickly get his team on the scoreboard with a touchdown toss.
