Free agent running back and former Super Bowl LV champion Leonard Fournette had a Tuesday that was likely more interesting than yours. But it wasn’t his ideal way to spend the afternoon.

According to the 28-year-old’s Instagram story, Fournette was driving when his SUV suddenly started on fire. He even shared a clip of the aftermath, showing the charred damage to the vehicle.

Amazingly, Fournette is ok and was able to walk away from the incident seemingly without injury.

Here’s how he captioned the post on social media:

“Man it was one of those days today, but I would like thank God, my car caught on fire while I was driving, But I’am still blessed 🙏❤️”

Several athletes and former teammates of the once Jaguars and Buccaneers tailback chimed in, sharing their support for Fournette. This group included Jalen Ramsey, Frank Clark, Diontae Johnson, and more.

After three seasons with the Buccaneers, Fournette was let go back in February and is still seeking a new destination. While he hasn’t had a 1,000-yard rushing season since 2019, his final year in Jacksonville, Fournette has still topped the 1,000-yard mark from scrimmage each of the past two seasons in Tampa Bay.
