Kyle Busch brutally calls out a NASCAR driver for their driving style in 2023

Kyle Busch started his busy Talladega weekend by calling out a NASCAR driver and ended it with his first superspeedway win in 15 years.

NASCAR: GEICO 500

Kyle Busch had a busy weekend at Talladega Superspeedway. Entering Sunday afternoon’s event, it had been 15 years since Busch last won on a points-paying superspeedway race in the NASCAR Cup Series.

Those long 15 years of waiting finally came to an end when Bubba Wallace, the driver of the No. 23 car, blocked Ryan Blaney two times with the final one being the gasoline that started the “Big One” on the final lap.

While Wallace slid down the race track, Busch was in the perfect spot and exited Turn 2 in the lead without any damage. It was the perfect end to a weekend that started with some fire off the race track.

Busch won the second race of the NASCAR Cup Series season at Auto Club Speedway but struggled to finish in the top-5 spots until his next win at Talladega Superspeedway last weekend. It was a good turnaround after a rough race at Martinsville Speedway that resulted in a 21st-place finish.

Most notably, Busch had an incident with Spire Motorsports driver Corey LaJoie after the No. 7 car slammed him on the front stretch. The driver of the No. 8 car then responded by moving him out of the way in Turn 3 and passing him.

The No. 7 team then LaJoie to “park him” if he go back to Busch. Surprisingly, LaJoie admitted on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio that he tried to intentionally hook Busch into the fence to cause a caution.

Busch was asked about LaJoie before the Cup Series race at Talladega in a video by TSJ101Sports’ Noah Lewis and Peter Stratta. As expected, Busch did not keep his thoughts to himself and brought up LaJoie’s comments about trying to wreck him at Martinsville.

“As far as (Corey LaJoie) with me, he’s been a pain in the d*ck to race with and pass for years, just coming up and things like that. Every time I am around him, it feels like he tries an extra 20% harder to make sure I stay behind him. Just not fun…He admitted it on his podcast that he wanted to crash me and create a yellow and didn’t get penalized, even though Denny Hamlin did.”

Busch is not one to keep quiet about other drivers when he feels like they are in the wrong. The 37-year-old driver called Joey Logano “two-faced” after the Busch Light Clash and said Ross Chastain “doesn’t know anything about clean driving” after Circuit of the Americas.

It is no secret that Busch has been NASCAR’s most polarizing driver for over a decade now. The good thing is that he continues to have success to back himself up. Busch has won a race in every single full-time season in the Cup Series.

The latest incident is not as notable as the other ones since LaJoie is not a driver that competes at the front every weekend. Busch will continue to be himself and it will be interesting to see how the two drivers race each other moving forward.
