Milwaukee Bucks forward Khris Middleton was limited to just 33 games a season ago due to injury and has seen himself miss substantial time over the past few years.

The hope is that this isn’t the case after what we saw in the first quarter of Tuesday night’s game against Kevin Durant and the Phoenix Suns.

Middleton went down in pain and clutched for his ankle after Durant landed awkwardly on him in an attempt to close out on a three-pointer. It was not a great scene in Phoenix as Middleton was in a tremendous amount of pain.

Middleton was ruled out for the remainder of the game with what the Bucks describe as a left ankle sprain. He’ll obviously go through further tests given what we saw on the video.

Social media was abuzz with Durant’s close out and whether it was a dirty foul. That’s up for interpretation. But officials did assess Durant with a Flagrant foul in the process.

  • Khris Middleton stats (2023-24): 15.0 PPG, 4.3 RPG, 5.1 APG, 49% shooting, 39% 3-point

Middleton’s shooting splits have been good this season as he works behind Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard in Milwaukee. He’s important to the team’s success.
