Kevin Harvick, just a week removed from his final NASCAR Cup Series start, has made official the purchase of the mansion featured in “Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby” for $6.75 million.

According to a report in the Charlotte Business Journal, Harvick and wife DeLana closed on the purchase on Oct. 27 for nearly $2 million less than the original asking price of $8.4 million when the Cornelius, North Carolina was listed back in March.

The property, which was the home of the titular character in the film, is shown to be 12,000 square-foot with six rooms, nine bathrooms, a full bar, an infinity pool, a four-car garage and a boat dock connected to the man-made Lake Norman popularized in NASCAR circles.

It was previously sold in 2018 and renovated to its current state.

Located as part of a gated community and roughly a half-hour from Charlotte Motor Speedway, it’s just another signal that Harvick will remain entrenched in the NASCAR community for years following his recently completed driving career.

He will begin a full-time color analyst stint on NASCAR on FOX broadcasts in 2024 while also pursuing the occasional one-off start behind the wheel of an Xfinity Series, Truck Series of Late Model race when time permits.

Harvick also co-owns the CARS Tour Late Model series alongside Dale Earnhardt Jr., Jeff Burton and Justin Marks. He is the 2014 Cup Series champion who sits 10th on the all-time wins list at 60 across stints at Richard Childress Racing and Stewart-Haas Racing.

Harvick famously began his career at the highest level when he took over for Dale Earnhardt Sr. after his death in the Daytona 500. He also won the 2007 Daytona 500.
