During this past season’s playoff run, we saw the Kansas City Chiefs host the Miami Dolphins at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium, where the kickoff temperature was a frigid -4. Multiple spectators suffered frostbite and other serious injuries, including amputations.

Now Kansas City lawmakers are trying to ensure a similar situation never happens again in Missouri.

As talks of a new Chiefs stadium heat up, now conceptual renderings have been leaked, and they reportedly include playing indoors with a domed roof.

It should be noted that the Chiefs have never played home games indoors.

The stadium would be positioned near The Legends and Kansas Speedway located in western Wyandotte County.

Here are some of the renderings developed by well-known sports architect David Manica.

Manica’s firm also designed Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, the Chiefs’ rivals. He also designed Nashville’s new stadium for the Tennessee Titans, which is still under construction. While he’s helped all over the globe, Manica Architecture has its headquarters in Kansas City, Kansas.

The Chiefs have not committed to moving to Kansas, but they are currently working through their options, which, as mentioned, could include a domed stadium.
