Turnovers were an issue for Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen heading into Sunday’s AFC Wild Card Playoff game against the overmatched Miami Dolphins.

An early-season NFL MVP candidate, Allen accounted for 13 giveaways in his final 10 regular-season games.

He seemed to be in a giving mood Sunday afternoon, too. Allen threw two first-half interceptions as the heavily-favored Bills blew a 17-0 en route to taking a three-point score lead into the half.

After forcing a Dolphins three-and-out to open the third quarter, Buffalo was prepared to take control of the game. That’s until Allen turned the ball over again.

The quarterback was strip-sacked by Dolphins defensive back Eric Rowe on a blitz with the ball being picked up and returned for a touchdown by defensive tackle Zach Sieler. It was all sorts of ugly for Josh Allen and his Bills.

Allen simply needs to see the pressure come and get rid of the ball. Instead, he tucked it in and hoped for the best. Playing loose with the ball is something that has defined Allen in the recent past.

If this continues, Buffalo could very well be on the receiving end of one of the biggest upsets in NFL Playoff history. It entered the game as 14-point favorites and taking on a rookie seventh-round pick in that of Dolphins quarterback Skylar Thompson.

As for Josh Allen, this represented his third giveaway of the game. It’s only the second time in his past 24 starts that this has happened.
