The Washington Commanders have flashed moments of brilliance, but having lost four of their past five matchups, they’ve also provided reminders of the same struggles of a franchise that hasn’t won a playoff game since the 2005 season. Even though Jonathan Allen has only been in Washington since 2017, he knows the team’s woes all too well, having personally experienced them.
Sunday’s 14-7 loss was the second time the Commanders have scored seven or fewer points this season, but the defense hasn’t always held up their end of the bargain either, coming into NFL games today as the 29th-ranked scoring defense.
As frustrated as fans may be, after the loss, it was two-time Pro Bowl defensive lineman Jonathan Allen who expressed frustration with his team’s effort.
“Fuck yes it does. I’m f—ing tired of this s—. I’m f—ing tired of this bulls—. It’s been seven f—ing years of the same s—. I’m tired of this s—.”

Meanwhile, as expected, it doesn’t appear he’s ready to throw in the towel on his teammates any time soon. When asked what it will take for Washington to regain momentum, Allen replied, “Get our minds right and get ready to play f—ing Philadelphia.”
Washington’s loss sends them to 3-4, with the NFC East-leading Philadelphia Eagles up next. If the Commanders struggle again, chances are cameras will be quick to find Allen in the locker room after the game.
