Jerry Jones, one of the Philadelphia Eagles’ biggest rivals, likes the tush push

The Philadelphia Eagles have mastered the tush push, otherwise known as the QB sneak. One would think that thanks to all the success Jalen Hurts has attempting QB sneaks, his biggest rivals, like the Dallas Cowboys, who have to play the Eagles twice per season, would want the tush push outlawed.

But that isn’t the case at all.

Instead, Cowboys team owner Jerry Jones is actually a proponent of the QB sneak that’s taking the league by storm.

“I’m all for it and I like the play. I’m OK with it. I like the play. I think there’s a place for the play. I’m all for implementing the emphasis on the scrum. The traditional scrum. That doesn’t bother me as much on this play.”

This past offseason, the NFL actually reviewed the play, having franchise owners vote on whether the tush push should be banned or not. Well, the Eagles are still dominating with it in 2023, so you have your answer on how the vote turned out. But that doesn’t mean the vote won’t be up for another discussion in the future, yet don’t expect the Cowboys to try and get the tush push banned, unless Jones changes his tune.

Meanwhile, the Eagles are going all-in on the tush push, but they have their own region-based nickname for the trending play. According to the United States Patent and Trademark Office, the Eagles filed a trademark for ‘Brotherly Shove’ on October 10. This will allow them to profit off the trademark by creating various forms of team memorabilia such as shirts, jackets, jerseys, hats, and much more.
