Jamal Adams officially requested permission to seek a trade from the New York Jets on Thursday, and now we know which teams are on his list.
List of NFL teams Jamal Adams wants to be traded to
Jamal Adams has seven teams he’s interested in being traded to, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
- Baltimore Ravens
- Dallas Cowboys
- Houston Texans
- Kansas City Chiefs
- Philadelphia Eagles
- San Francisco 49ers
- Seattle Seahawks
The common theme here is that all seven teams are strong contenders.
Among these teams, the Dallas Cowboys stick out like a sore thumb. The reason being, they’ve been strongly linked to Adams in trade rumors going back to last year.
Jamal Adams and the Jets have been clashing over his contract
The big reason that Adams requested permission to seek a trade is that he wants a contract extension. The Jets, on the other hand, want to make him wait. This led to a social media rant from Adams on Thursday morning in which he wrote, “Maybe it’s time to move on!”
Recently, Adams made it clear that he is upset with the Jets for not even giving him a first proposal or negotiate a contract.
Selected sixth overall out of LSU during the 2017 NFL Draft, Adams has become one of the NFL’s best safeties. In his first three seasons as a pro, he’s racked up 273 tackles, 12 sacks and two interceptions.
