Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence missed segments of Tuesday’s organized team activity due to tightness in his left hamstring.

Lawrence left the practice to get treatment before later returning. Jaguars coach Urban Meyer said afterward that Lawrence is expected to be back on the field Thursday for the team’s next OTA.

Lawrence, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2021 draft, had some struggles during Tuesday’s practice as he twice threw interceptions that were returned for touchdowns during 7-on-7 drills.

“He’s a grown man the way he handles his business,” Meyer said of the former Clemson star. “… There’s no winner or loser. It was just some execution misfires and we got to get those fixed. But he’s fine. His development as a player, that’s going to be interesting to watch.”

Standout defensive end Josh Allen missed the session with lower-back tightness. Meyer said it was precautionary.
