The Iron Bowl has delivered some of the greatest games and endings in college football history. Saturday’s Alabama Crimson Tide vs Auburn Tigers game added to the legendary rivalry with chaos in Week 13.
Auburn, coming off an embarrassing 31-10 home loss on Nov. 18 to New Mexico State, was moments away from one of the most improbable outcomes in Iron Bowl history. The Tigers led 24-20 with under 5 minutes remaining and forced Alabama to punt.

However, Tigers’ returner Keionte Scott muffed the punt return at Auburn’s 30-yard line. The Crimson Tide recovered and immediately had new life, starting a new possession with 4:48 remaining.
Then, after overcoming a 3rd-and-20, a bad snap flew past Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe on 2nd-and-goal from the Auburn 8-yard line. After an illegal forward pass, Auburn was one stop away on 4th-and-goal from the 31-yard line from a stunning Iron Bowl victory.
Instead, we witnessed one of the most unbelievable moments of the 2023 college football season.
Alabama needed a miracle and Jalen Milroe delivered. Bond, Isaiah Bond, came through with the game-winning 31-yard touchdown with 32 seconds left. While Auburn got one last chance, an interception sealed it.
