Houston Texans wide receiver Randall Cobb figured it was safe to hit up social media with his Sunday coffee. After all, the team’s season is over and nothing could go wrong. Right?
Wrong. Cobb’s decision to log on to Twitter was met with even more rumors about the downtrodden organization, including reports that Deshaun Watson has played his final snap in a Texans uniform and other rumors suggesting that their head coach job is the most undesirable in the NFL.
It’s obviously not a great time to be a fan of the Houston Texans right now. With two years remaining on his deal, Randall Cobb is also finding out that it’s not a great time to be a player for the Texans. His reaction to all the drama surrounding the Texans was also as priceless as it gets.
As far as GIF reactions go, this was as perfect as it gets.
Houston Texans drama boiling over, Randall Cobb reacts
When it was noted earlier this month that Watson wanted out of dodge, there was not a whole lot of information made public. Since then, report after report suggests that he’s unhappy with the organization and wants to be traded.
The backdrop here has been a search for a new head coach to replace Bill O’Brien that has drawn ire from Watson. Houston refused to interview Robert Saleh for the job prior to him committing to the New York Jets.
Meanwhile, Houston fumbled the interview process with Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy. The team requested to interview him after the deadline last weekend, meaning the Texans will have to wait until the Chiefs’ season is over or the Super Bowl takes place before conducting said interview. At this point, it’s not even known whether Bieniemy will interview for the job.
Fun times in Houston.
