One NBA league insider believes if Bradley Beal comes up with a trade wish list, the Golden State Warriors have a good chance of being one of his preferred destinations.
After a couple of years of speculation, it seems that the Washington Wizards pulling the trigger on a Bradley Beal trade seems as likely as it ever has before. The speculation on the three-time All-Star being shipped out of DC was kicked off earlier this week when it was reported that the team and his representatives had begun a dialogue on that possibility.

The reason Beal could finally land on the trade block is that the Wizards are concerned that both Kyle Kuzma and Kristaps Prozingis will opt out and take their talents elsewhere in NBA free agency. If Beal ends up being all that is left, the organization’s new front office reportedly believes a complete rebuild would then make far more sense.
There have been several playoff teams that have been suggested as strong contenders in a Bradley Beal trade market, including the Miami Heat and New York Knicks. However, one NBA insider believes the Golden State Warriors could be a dark horse contender for the 29-year-old that contractually has the ability to choose his next home.
Golden State Warriors record (’22-’23): 44-38
On Thursday, The Athletic’s NBA reporter Fred Katz made a case for the Golden State Warriors possibly landing on Bradley Beal’s trade destinations list.
“Beal has told people close to him he loves playing at Madison Square Garden, but he’s also a relaxed, warm-weather guy. The Golden State Warriors appealed to him in the past, according to sources. Throughout his short stint with Team USA in 2021, Draymond Green made sure to remind him (you may be surprised, more than once) of what joining a many-times champion could do for him.”

It’s unclear where Beal would fit with the current Golden State Warriors squad. One that already has a pair of star guards. However, since the team has made a change at the top of the front office, maybe the organization would be open to moving Jordan Poole or Klay Thompson’s contracts in a potential deal.
Weirder things have happened and the Warriors are always in the hunt to do whatever it takes to win another title.
