The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have released defensive tackle Gerald McCoy. And one high-profile player wants him to sign with the Cleveland Browns.
Browns receiver Odell Beckham Jr. responded to an Instagram post from ESPN’s Adam Schefter by calling on McCoy to sign in Cleveland.
Schefter also noted that McCoy wants to sign with a contender. While the Browns haven’t contended in a long time, they are a team very much on the rise.
As a six-time Pro Bowler, McCoy can certainly help Cleveland make that leap. He didn’t make the Pro Bowl in 2018, but did finish the season with six sacks and was in on 28 tackles for the Buccaneers.
