On Tuesday, Netflix announced a second season for the docuseries, Full Swing, which focuses on different golfers and their lives both on and off the course.

The first season for Full Swing premiered on Feb. 15 and touched on last year’s PGA Tour schedule with the height of The Masters, the PGA Championship, the U.S. Open and the Open Championship. This was in addition to the news last year of the up-and-coming LIV Golf. which led to players leaving the PGA Tour for the Saudi-backed league.

After showcasing a wide range of golfers, consisting of rookies to major winners and as well as friendships and frenemies, the second season will continue to show how professional golfers handle the adrenaline of a tournament and at home with family. It comes with a brand-new cast.

The filming is currently underway for the new season and is expected to air sometime next year.

Netflix Vice President of Unscripted and Documentary Series Brandon Reigg said shows like Full Swing, in addition to the tennis docuseries, Break Point, have been immediately liked by viewers and those new to the game.

“These shows quickly appealed to core fans of golf and tennis, and also recruited brand new fans from all around the world,” Riegg said in a news release on Tuesday. “Like so much of our growing sports slate, the compelling characters, competitive stakes, and vibrant storytelling reveal sides of the game you’ve never seen before, and we’re excited to follow the unpredictable turns of the year ahead.”

Full Swing was liked so much, it landed on Netflix’s weekly global Top 10 English TV list.

The golf docuseries will continue to be executively produced by Chad Mumm and Mark W. Olsen of Vox Media Studios; and Paul Martin, James Gay-Rees and Warren Smith of Box-to-Box Films.

Some of the top faces from season one included Rory McIlroy, Scottie Scheffler, Jordan Spieth, Justin Thomas, Matt Fitzpatrick, Collin Morikawa, Tony Finau, Joel Dahmen, then-rookies Sahith Theegala and Mito Periera. LIV Golfers such as Brooks Koepka and Dustin Johnson took part in it, too.

Some of the off-the-course settings included family life, parties, travelling to a course and apparel meetings.

“They were everywhere,” Finau said of the crew. “On off-weeks, they were home with me. I felt like they did a lot of filming. I knew when I said yes that that was a possibility. I told my wife. She was all in. She didn’t mind.”

Not only did season one captivate the successful moments of winning tournaments, but it also touched on the heartbreak on the PGA Tour, such as Theegala coming up just short of winning the WM Phoenix last year.

In addition, one episode focused on the player-caddie relationship between Joel Dahmen and his caddie Geno Bonnalie.
