Sam Bradford spoke to the media today after practice for the first time since demanding a trade and admitted he was “frustrated” by the Philadelphia Eagles’ decision to draft Carson Wentz.
He also admitted he only really came back because he realized there was nowhere else for him to go.
Sam said he realized this was the best place for him and came back. When asked, admits is had something to do with trade market drying up.

He is still the team’s starting quarterback and took reps today as the team’s No. 1 during OTAs. That said, it’s hard to imagine he received a very warm welcome from his teammates, who must feel a little betrayed after comments made by Bradford’s agent recently.
Bradford also admitted “it’s not pretty out there right now” and that fans have a right to be frustrated by his actions.
It’s a given that Wentz is nowhere near ready to start NFL games right now, coming out of South Dakota State. He took snaps as the No. 3 behind Bradford and backup Chase Daniel today, and it would be an utter shock if he does take any snaps in a game this year.
That said, given the way things have gone, nobody should be surprised if Daniel does end up playing, and playing a lot. If Bradford’s teammates don’t welcome him back with open arms, it could get awfully ugly, awfully quick to open the season.
Let’s just hope they don’t listen to what Michael Bennett had to say about Bradford’s complaining act.
Bradford did talk about his relationship with Wentz. Based on what he said, it might not be that frosty in the quarterback meeting room, at least.
