WWE Elimination Chamber 2023 is this Saturday night, and it is set up to be a wild last stop on the road to this year’s Wrestlemania.

The Elimination Chamber event is an entertaining yearly card that offers one of the promotion’s most unique match types while also setting the final dominos in place for the stretch run of Wrestlemania season.

However, this year’s edition will be a bit different than past years as the Chamber matches will not have world titles on the line. Instead, the men’s 2023 Elimination Chamber match will feature Austin Theory’s United States Championship and the ladies will be vying for a chance to face Bianca Belair for her Raw women’s title at Wrestlemania.

A world championship won’t be on the line in the men’s Chamber match because Roman Reigns has both title belts and will be defending it against Sami Zayn. In what should be one of the final beats in one of the greatest storylines in WWE history, between Zayn and the Bloodline faction.

With all of that in mind, let’s make some bold predictions for Elimination Chamber 2023 on Saturday night.

Jey Uso shows his true allegiance to the Bloodline during WWE title match

The ongoing Bloodline storyline over the last six months has reached legendary status. It has been well choreographed over time and has been equally hilarious and emotional. It has made year three of Roman Reigns’ stranglehold on the top of the WWE mountain the best yet. As well as turned Sami Zayn into the heir apparent to Daniel Bryan as the fanbase’s favorite underdog.

All of that will come to a head when Zayn will compete for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship after breaking away from the tyrannical Reigns and the Bloodline at Royal Rumble in January. The match will take place in Zayn’s hometown of Montreal, Canada, and has the element of the divide in the group due to Zayn’s decision and Jey Uso’s allegiance to him.

While it seems like Jey could side with Zayn to help him defeat his cousin, look for “Main Event Jey” to show his loyalty to the “Tribal Chief” one more time, and help set up a long-rumored Usos vs. Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens Unified Tag Titles match at ‘Mania.

Austin Theory wins Elimination Chamber 2023 men’s match

The men’s Elimination Chamber 2023 match on paper could turn into one of the best in the event’s history. It will feature Theory, Seth Rollins, Montez Ford, Johnny Gargano, Bronson Reed, and Damian Priest. While it may not be as star-studded as years past, on a pure talent level it is one of the best groupings yet.

Look for this match to have many stand-out moments and for Rollins to come close several times in regaining his title. However, in the end, Theory will get the biggest win of his young career. And WWE will then begin the build to a hinted-at clash with company icon John Cena at Wrestlemania.

Raquel Rodriguez wins women’s 2023 Elimination Chamber match

Heading into the women’s Elimination Chamber 2023 match, Asuka is a betting favorite with many odds makers. Without Becky Lynch in the match, and having made her return at the Royal Rumble, it makes a lot of sense. However, that won’t be the result on Saturday.

Smackdown star Raquel Rodriguez is a diamond in the rough on the blue brand. For months, we have seen Raw women’s champion Bianca Belair face a who’s-who of female baddies, but a clash with a fresh babyface would be a nice departure from recent norms of Belair’s booking.

While a match with Asuka would be phenomenal, Belair vs. Rodriguez on the grandest stage helps further build the resume of two long-term stars of the WWE women’s division.

Edge and Beth Phoenix score victory in ongoing war with Judgement Day

One of the longest-running stories in the promotion currently is the war between Judgement Day founder and WWE Hall-of-Famer Edge and the evil faction. The wrestling legend and his wife Beth Phoenix will face off in a mixed tag match against JD leader Finn Balor and women’s Royal Rumble winner Rhea Ripley at Elimination Chamber.

While the Judgement Day deserves the win, this will not be the final battle in this war. Expect the HOFers to get the W on Saturday, but the feud will continue and be set up for a final showdown between the “Rated R” superstar and Balor at Wrestlemania.

Bobby Lashley and Brock Lesnar set up Wrestlemania trilogy match

WWE has used the last few weeks to build toward a second Bobby Lashley vs. Brock Lesnar matchup. While all signs point to that happening at Elimination Chamber 2023, it would make little sense to end the feud there, just weeks before the biggest show of the year. Plus, both men don’t have a clear path forward aside from another match on the grandest stage of them all.

That is why the pair will face off on Saturday with Lesnar getting the win and evening the score at 1-1 after Lashley beat “The Beast” in 2022. Setting up a climactic third match at Wrestlemania, where a heavily hinted reunion of the Hurt Business faction will help Lashley win the trilogy.
