For the first time in 55 years, the Duquesne Dukes actually won a game in the NCAA Tournament, and in doing so they became the first March Madness team to bust a whole bunch of tourney brackets for fans around the country.
It has been a long time since Duquesne University has even taken to the floor for an NCAA Tournament game, let alone won one. On Thursday, the program played its first March Madness game since 1977 and made the most of the rare moment.

The Dukes entered the tourney on fire after winning eight straight to end the season, including the Atlantic 10 tourney title. That momentum continued today when the No. 11 seed took on No. 6 BYU. Over 24% of the tens of millions of brackets around the country picked the Duquesne Dukes to lose. Well, the team said to hold their beer as they were able to secure an upset over BYU by a score of 71-67 on Thursday afternoon.
Following the victory, many college basketball fans around the country took to their X accounts to offer up some hilarious reactions to their brackets already going down the toilet on day one of the tournament and congratulated the school for their big win.
