Let’s just say, Detroit Lions fans are eager to see a good team play football at Ford Field. As one of just four franchises without a Super Bowl victory to their name, the Lions are more than hungry. They’re starved for playoff football.

Last week’s Wild Card win over Matthew Stafford and the Los Angeles Rams showed just how excited Detroit’s fanbase could get, with the decibel level at Ford Field reaching a ridiculous 133.6 decibels. That’s the equivalent of a jet engine taking off, except all this noise is contained indoors, with nowhere for the sound to escape. It makes for an extremely tough atmosphere for opponents to play in, but for the fans who have waited 32 years for a playoff win? It was a party.

But the Lions didn’t lose, and they still have home-field advantage over their next opponent, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, which means this party is just getting started.

Unlike what we saw in Kansas City and Buffalo, Lions fans don’t have to worry about piles of snow or freezing their butts off in the cold just to watch their favorite team play. The Detroit Lions get to enjoy their football indoors at Ford Field, where ticket prices have reached an all-time high, instead of cratering like other teams saw during the Wild Card matchups.

According to TickPick, the upcoming Buccaneers vs Lions playoff game has an average ticket price of $1,186 per seat. This shatters the previous NFL Divisional round record, set by the San Francisco 49ers at Dallas Cowboys matchup, which had an average ticket price of $605.

While prices are subject to change, the lowest-priced Lions playoff tickets available through TickPick right now are $673 to get in the doors of Ford Field. Again, this is far more expensive than any other 2024 Divisional round matchup.

It’s safe to say, there is no fanbase more excited about their upcoming playoff matchup than the Lions are. And after decades of futility, can you really blame them for being excited about a good football team again?
