Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams has publicly expressed frustration repeatedly with the team’s on-field results this season. Dissatisfied with how his career has unfolded since landing in Las Vegas, NFL teams have been calling about the possibility of a trade.
Adams would immediately become the best player available at the 2023 NFL trade deadline. While his production has dipped this season, he could be a No. 1 receiver for Super Bowl contenders like the Baltimore Ravens, Detroit Lions and Dallas Cowboys.

While Adams is unhappy with his role in the Raiders’ offense and feels he should receive more targets, that’s not the biggest problem. He confirmed what Tashan Reed of The Athletic shared, that the frustration Adams is experiencing right now is all tied to the lack of wins.
The All-Pro wideout came to Las Vegas in 2022 to be closer to family and play with college teammate Derek Carr, with the hope of winning a lot of games with the franchise he grew up watching. Instead, Carr is now playing for the New Orleans Saints and Las Vegas is 9-14 since last season.
The public complaints and criticisms of the Raiders’ performance have led to multiple general managers calling Las Vegas regarding the star wideout’s availability. Las Vegas is already shopping Pro Bowl wide receiver Hunter Renfrow and trading Adams could net significant draft picks.
However, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Raiders have made it known to every NFL team inquiring about Adams that he is not available for trade this year.

Adams, a future Hall of Famer, hasn’t publicly requested a trade and Las Vegas reportedly wouldn’t pursue a deal even if he was open to being moved. Instead, clubs that call are being redirected to Renfrow’s availability and the slot receiver isn’t generating much trade interest.
While it’s possible the Raiders could revisit trade talks for Adams, that also seems unlikely. Las Vegas will be in a position to trade up for a top quarterback prospect in the 2024 NFL Draft. With Josh McDaniels likely sticking around in 2024 and this offense being integral to the team’s success, it’s highly unlikely the Raiders would do anything to make this situation worse for an incoming rookie quarterback.
