The Boston Celtics have been mentally preparing for the NBA Finals since their May 27 elimination of the Indiana Pacers. But now that the actual Finals matchup has been set, with the Dallas Mavericks eliminating the Minnesota Timberwolves, it’s time to set the stage.

The best-of-seven series tips off on Thursday, June 6th, at 8:30 PM ET on ABC. But for those who aren’t planning to watch the game on TV and are plotting a trip to either TD Garden or American Airlines Center, you might want to check the NBA Finals ticket prices first.

This year’s NBA Finals tip off from Boston for Games 1 and 2 on Thursday and Sunday night. Games 3 and 4 will head to Dallas on Wednesday and Friday, June 12th and 14th.

NBA Finals ticket prices in 2024 are ridiculous

So how much are tickets to the Mavericks vs Celtics NBA Finals?

As of this posting, tickets for Game 1 at TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts, start at a minimum price of $699 per ticket at SeatGeek. Keep in mind that this is before extra fees and taxes are tacked on top of the initial price shown on the website.

For Game 3 at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas, start at a minimum price of $893 at SeatGeek. Those are some expensive tickets, but how often do fans get a chance to experience their favorite team competing for a championship?

The once-in-a-lifetime experience won’t deter fans from paying sky-high prices, even to sit in the nosebleeds. Some will take it to the extreme, paying as much as $32,700 for an individual ticket to Game 1 in Boston. Meanwhile, the highest-priced Mavericks home game ticket to the Finals starts at $30,364.

For the Mavericks, it’s their first Finals appearance since 2011, but Celtics fans haven’t had as long of an absence, most recently playing for a chance at the NBA Championship in 2022. The Celtics are playing for a chance to win their 18th NBA Championship, whereas the Mavs are going for ring No. 2.
