Former Dallas Cowboys and Carolina Panthers star — as well as UFC veteran — Greg Hardy, revealed on Thursday that he recently has been working at Walmart.
Greg Hardy has had a stunning fall from professional athletics grace over the last 15 years despite being given multiple opportunities at success, and in different sports. A decade ago he was one of the NFL’s best defensive players when he had double-digit sacks seasons and earned a trip to the 2013 Pro Bowl as a member of the Carolina Panthers.

However, things fell apart in 2014 after a very ugly domestic violence incident involving his then-girlfriend. It led to the team that drafted him with the sixth pick overall in 2010 cutting ties after five seasons. But he was given a second chance in 2015 by the Dallas Cowboys.
Then more off-the-field issues led to his Dallas Cowboys tenure being short-lived and he washed out of the league soon after. With him still having prime years ahead of him, the 6-foot-5 near 300-pounder then took his talents to MMA.
After winning his first three bouts by knockout, he was given a shot by the MMA world leader UFC three years ago. Yet controversy followed him to cage fighting and he ended his disappointing run in the Octagon with a 4-5 record, three knockout losses, and a no-contest.
He then tried boxing, including bare-knuckle boxing, and had mixed results. Most recently he suffered a knockout loss to Josh Watson at Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship: Knucklemania 3 in February.

Now, it seems with his athletic career done and his reputation damaged, the former Dallas Cowboys player has now settled for a job regular old job at Walmart.
On Thursday, Greg Hardy posted a video to his Instagram account in which he revealed the difficulty of having a nine-to-five job and how after taking a gig with a marketing company, he was set up unexpectedly to sign up customers for Spectrum internet accounts and greet folks who visit a local Walmart.
In the video, it looks like Hardy is dressed in what seems to be some sort of work uniform.
It is a sad fall from grace for an athlete who was once one of the top players in the most popular sport in America. As well as a sign that he likely blew the $16 million he earned while playing in the league.
