Dallas Cowboys legend Michael Irvin is reportedly not sitting and waiting to see if he can work his way back into his gigs with ESPN and NFL Network and has decided to take his analyst talents to the popular FS1 show “Undisputed.”

Over the last couple of decades, Dallas Cowboys wide receiver icon Michael Irvin has become one of the faces of NFL content for a variety of networks. However, that lofty place in the NFL media game was brought to a grinding halt earlier this year when a Marriot Hotel employee accused him of misconduct while he was in Phoenix to do Super Bowl coverage for NFL Network.

The surprise accusations led NFL Network and ESPN to indefinitely suspend the Hall-of-Famer while an investigation and potential litigation played out. However, a resolution has yet to be made when it came to his job with the league-run network as the 2023 season closes in. So, instead of continuing to wait and see six months after the allegations, Irvin has decided to take on a role elsewhere.

On Monday, Sports Business Journal was the first to report that the Dallas Cowboys great had come to terms on a deal to be in the rotation of guest co-hosts on FS1’s “Undisputed.” The long-running show has seen a major shake-up after issues between hosts Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe led to the former Denver Broncos stars’ departure from the show.

Sharpe is expected to now join popular NBA analyst Stephen A. Smith as his new debate partner on ESPN’s successful morning show “First Take.”

It is still unclear whether Irvin will eventually return to his role with NFL Network, but it is still a possibility. However, the news officially brings an end to his tenure with ESPN, where he also served as a weekly guest in debates with Smith on “First Take.”

The Cowboys legend has denied all the allegations against him and has aggressively pursued legal action against Marriot since the alleged incident.
