It has been a trying last month for Dallas Cowboys legend Michael Irvin, but it seems like the drama that has derailed his career may have come to an end on Tuesday.

During Super Bowl Week last month, Hall-of-Famer Michael Irvin was tossed from a Phoenix Marriot Hotel and saw his analyst career sidelined after an employee for the hotel claimed the Dallas Cowboys great acted inappropriately during an encounter in the lobby.

Irvin claimed ignorance of any improper misconduct but was still suspended from his position with NFL Media and had his appearances as an analyst for ESPN also halted. The hit to his livelihood led the Dallas Cowboys icon to sue Marriot International and the woman who filed the complaint for $100 million and have a press conference last week to chastise the company for their handling of the situation.

Well, that story took a couple of more turns on Tuesday. First, it was reported that Michael Irvin surprisingly dismissed the lawsuit. However, the dismissal in a Texas court was done so that the defamation suit could be refiled in Arizona instead, his attorney explained during a second news conference today.

Along with announcing that the lawsuit was still very much on, Irvin and his attorney Levi McCathern had finally obtained the Marriot surveillance video of the alleged incident between the Cowboys legend and the unidentified employee.

Video of the press conference and footage from Marriot can be seen above and shows Irvin entering the lobby of the hotel and beginning a conversation with the woman near the bar. The pair talk for some time and the NFL legend does touch the woman on her arm twice before they shake hands and go on their way.

It is hard to tell the nature of the true physicality between Irvin and the woman, but the encounter does seem friendly and not uncomfortable.

“Here’s the truth. We used to say when we played football ‘the eye in the sky don’t tell no lie’, it’s just the truth. We talk and tell lies, but the eye in the sky don’t tell no lie.”

The Dallas Cowboys legend’s lawyer revealed they expect to release more angles of the encounter once they receive them from Marriot.
