Arizona Coyotes forward Liam O’Brien signed a two-year contract extension on Sunday.
Financial terms were not disclosed by the Coyotes for O’Brien, who has three points (two goals, one assist) and an NHL-leading 106 penalty minutes in 37 games this season.
“We are very pleased to sign Liam to a two-year contract extension,” Coyotes general manager Bill Armstrong said. “Liam is a hard-working player with great character who is always there to support his teammates. He has provided our team with some added toughness and is very deserving of this contract.”
O’Brien, 27, has recorded eight points (three goals, five assists) and 174 penalty minutes in 66 career games with the Washington Capitals, Colorado Avalanche and Coyotes.
