The Michigan Wolverines are currently looking for a new head coach after Sherrone Moore was fired due to an “inappropriate relationship” with a staff member. Moore, who replaced Jim Harbaugh in 2023, was then arrested and charged with third-degree home invasion, stalking, and breaking and entering or entering without breaking.

It was a shocking turn of events within the Michigan football program, as it looks for a new head coach. For now, Michigan named Biff Poggi the interim head coach as the school prepares for the Citrus Bowl against the Texas Longhorns on December 31.

However, what does Harbaugh think about the situation with Moore and his former team?

On Tuesday, Harbaugh joined the Dan Patrick Show and talked about a variety of topics, including Michigan and the Los Angeles Chargers. Harbaugh was also asked if he had spoken to Moore following the arrest.

“I have texted [Sherrone Moore],” Harbaugh said.

Harbaugh stated that he has only texted Moore, not called him on the phone. Patrick went on to ask the Chargers head coach how Moore’s spirits were following the entire situation.

“It’s a tragedy. The worst days of his life. Keep it together and take care of your family. That’s the message, and getting spiritual guidance is really critical.

Harbaugh also said he won’t help Michigan with finding a new head coach, as he remains committed to the day-to-day work with the Chargers. Yet, the former Michigan head coach is still keeping in contact with Moore, as he faces three charges following this arrest.
