Former Michigan football head coach Sherrone Moore has been charged with three crimes after his arrest on Wednesday. Moore was charged with third-degree home invasion, stalking, and breaking and entering or entering without breaking, prosecutors said. The former Wolverine was arraigned at the Washtenaw District Court.

The third-degree home invasion charge is a felony, while the other charges are misdemeanors. Moore, who spent the last two seasons as Michigan’s head coach, was fired on Wednesday after a school investigation found evidence of an inappropriate relationship with a staff member.

Michigan has not revealed the details of the “inappropriate relationship,” but that was enough for athletic director Warde Manuel to fire him, citing a “clear violation of university policy.” Moore’s arrest came hours later, after the Wolverines’ announcement.

Following Moore’s firing, Michigan promoted Biff Poggi to interim head coach with the university set to play the Texas Longhorns in the Citrus Bowl on December 31. Michigan will now look forward to the Citrus Bowl and finding a new head coach after a crazy week in Ann Arbor.
