Cleveland Cavaliers rookie center Evan Mobley is expected to miss two to four weeks with a right elbow sprain, the team announced Tuesday.

Mobley sustained the injury while working for position against Boston’s Enes Kanter during the third quarter of the Cavaliers’ 98-92 loss to the Celtics on Monday. An MRI at Cleveland Clinic Sports Health confirmed the injury on Tuesday.

Mobley, the No. 3 overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, is averaging 14.6 points, 8.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.6 blocks in 15 games this season.

Center Jarrett Allen sat out Monday’s game with an illness.

Should Allen sit out again on Wednesday, Ed Davis and Tacko Fall could see a boost in minutes when the Cavaliers return to action at the Brooklyn Nets.
