Chris Paul ‘categorically’ denies demanding trade from Rockets

Some big NBA rumors are floating around right now. On Tuesday it was reported that Chris Paul has demanded a trade from the Houston Rockets due to a fractured relationship with James Harden.

Paul took to social media to say that report was news to him, and now he’s taking it a step further. ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith said on Wednesday that Paul “categorically denied” having requested or demanded a trade out of Houston.

There has been nothing but turmoil within the Rockets organization since the team was ousted by the Golden State Warriors in the playoffs yet again last month.

The team reportedly has everyone on the trade block for the right price and the owner has hinted he’s ready to blow the whole thing up. The team was also trying to negotiate an extension for head coach Mike D’Antoni, but then things fell apart on that front as well.

NBA fans outside of Houston on social media have been having a lot of fun with all this, but it cannot be fun for these players, coaches and front-office personnel inside closed doors.
