The Carolina Panthers lost again in Week 17, clinching the No. 1 overall pick for the Chicago Bears, thanks to the parameters of the Bryce Young trade. Their latest loss, a 26-0 shutout to the Jacksonville Jaguars, who were without starting quarterback Trevor Lawrence, is arguably the ugliest of the 2023 season for the Panthers.

While each loss is hard to absorb, this is the first time the Panthers went scoreless all season, and it comes after a 30-point outburst in Week 16, their highest total of the season.

Yet, Bryce Young and the Panthers weren’t able to maintain that momentum heading into Week 17 against the Jaguars, and it led to a clear moment of frustration from team owner David Tepper. Here, Tepper can be seen throwing his drink at a Jaguars fan sitting in the stands at EverBank Stadium.

The NFL has since released a statement acknowledging its awareness of Tepper’s incident. It is unknown whether there will be any ramifications at this time, but we can’t imagine the NFL is too thrilled about one of their league owners responding in this way.

Tepper wasn’t the only one bothered during the Panthers’ tough loss today. Here’s Bryce Young doing his best Tom Brady impersonation, throwing a tablet in disgust.

Needless to say, it’s been a long, challenging year for the Panthers. The good news? There’s only one game left before Carolina’s season ends. The bad news, is they won’t have their own first-round pick, and will have to get creative while trying to upgrade the roster this offseason.
