Despite a recent two-day visit with Nick Bosa, the Arizona Cardinals are still widely expected to select Kyler Murray at the top of the 2019 NFL Draft.
We’ve been over the reasons why this is the case on a number of occasions. There is a ton of smoke behind this rumor, which feels almost like fact at this point.
The big question on everyone’s mind is, where will Josh Rosen land if the Cardinals do what we all expect and draft Murray?
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, they might just keep the second-year quarterback for a while.
Interestingly enough, we argued for this exact scenario back in mid-February.
Rapoport notes that the Cardinals won’t just give Rosen away and will be looking for a big-time offer in a potential trade because they believe he’s better than all the other quarterbacks in the draft outside of Murray.
There should be plenty of interest, but it’ll be fascinating to see if Arizona finds the kind of haul it hopes to land for a player that was landed in a trade-up scenario just a year ago.
