Purdue freshman forward Camden Heide has not made a major impact in his first season with the Boilermakers.

Heide entered Monday’s national championhip game against the UConn Huskies averaging 3.3 points and 1.9 rebounds on the campaign.

He’s not necessarily one of the individuals we believed would be making highlights in Arizona as the two teams battled for the championship.

That changed in the scond half when the Minnesota native followed up a miss with an absolutely ridiculous dunk. It sent fans inside State Farm Stadium into a frenzy. Check it out.

The dude has some serious hops. That was absolutely insane. This also represented the first field goal of the game for Camden Heide.

Check out another angle of Heide’s follow-up of Zach Edey’s miss. It’s even more sensational.

Despite this, UConn gained control of the game about midway through the second half with a double-digit lead. Purdue will likely need more from its supporting cast behind Edey. That includes Heide.
