Caitlin Clark’s college basketball career isn’t even over yet but she has some big plans ahead, which could include a trip to the 2025 NBA All-Star Game and a shootout versus league legend Stephen Curry.

Over the last decade, the NBA All-Star game has lost much of its value and interest and the real highlight of the weekend is the individual competitions on Saturday night. That was again the case this year when the much anticipated three point shootout between Golden State Warriors icon Stephen Curry and New York Liberty star Sabrina Ionescu stole the show.

The battle was well received and much more competitive than some basketball fans may have expected. Due to that fact, it looks like it will be brought back for next year’s NBA All-Star Weekend and Curry is looking to expand the shootout to have teams, and the most famous player in women’s college basketball could be on one of them.

“At this point Stephen Curry versus Sabrina Ionescu is very likely for next year. Next year’s All-Star weekend is going to be in the Bay Area. I’m told with Caitlin Clark and potentially Klay Thompson to make it 2v2,” According to FanDuel TV NBA insider Shams Charania. “I’m told Steph Curry brought up potentially having Klay Thompson in this competition for next year.

“Could a guy like Damian Lillard potentially be a candidate to join Steph Curry? Those are all conversations that are going to continue to go on in the coming months as we get into the 2024-25 season.”

Clark has taken the basketball world by storm since last season as she led the Iowa Hawkeyes to the NCAA Tournament Finals. This season she became the all-time leading scorer in the college ranks for men and women, and over the weekend she helped her squad advance to the Elite Eight of March Madness with a big revenge win over LSU.

Last week she received a massive $5 million offer from the BIG3 league and is reportedly on the Team USA roster for this summer’s Olympics.
