Caitlin Clark is expected to be the top overall pick in April’s WNBA Draft, however, the alternative league run by hip-hop legend Ice Cube has reportedly offered the Iowa star a deal she may not be able to refuse.

Hawkeyes superstar Caitlin Clark has become one of the faces of women’s college basketball over the last two seasons. The forward has been a dominant force for the school as she took them to the National Championship game last season and followed that up in 2023-24 by becoming the all-time scoring leader in the collegiate ranks.

The 2022-23 Player of the Year has her team again in the NCAA Tournament this month and Iowa is expected to make a deep run. While the team’s final result in the tourney is still to be determined, Clark’s future seems set. She has already declared for the 2024 WNBA Draft and there is little doubt the Indiana Fever will make her the top pick in June.

However, the player who is making huge money in NIL and sponsorship deals won’t be making big money right away on the pro level but a competing league has come out of the woodwork with a unique offer that will pay Caitlin Clark like the superstar that she is.

On Wednesday morning TMZ Sports was first to report that the BIG3 has reportedly offered the college star a $5 million deal that would only require her to play in 10 games in their three-on-three league. Furthermore, the reports claims they will not ask to be her exclusive home and would not block her from playing in the WNBA.

Following the report, BIG3 boss Ice Cube confirmed the news in a post on X, formerly Twitter.

“We intended the offer to remain private while Caitlin Clark plays for the championship. But I won’t deny what’s now already out there: BIG3 made a historic offer to Caitlin Clark. Why wouldn’t we? Caitlin is a generational athlete who can achieve tremendous success in the BIG3,” he wrote.

The offer may be too much for Clark to pass up since the current highest-paid WNBA players make only six figures per season.
