Wide right. Two words that Buffalo Bills fans would rather not hear for the remainder of their lives. Unfortunately, these two words played a huge role in Buffalo’s heartbreaking 27-24 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in the NFL Divisional Playoffs.

Down by three points late in the fourth quarter, the Bills sent Tyler Bass out there to attempt a 44-yard field goal that would have tied the game.

Two words that are synonymous with Buffalo Bills football came back to haunt the franchise agin. Bass pulled the kick wide right, sending Buffalo home for the winter and enabling Kansas City to earn its sixth consecutive appearance in the AFC Championship Game.

That’s just absolutely brutal stuff right there.

It was roughly 33 years ago that Buffalo lost the first of four consecutive Super Bowls. It came after then-kicker Scott Norwood missed a potential game-winning 47-yard field goal. It is among the most infamous moments in the history of the Bills’ franchise.

Sure, some of the younger fans were not around for that failed kick. But this didn’t stop the social media world from pointing out how wide right came back to haunt the Bills again.
