The San Francisco 49ers’ Brock Purdy can’t seem to escape the stigma attached to him being the final pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.
No matter now well Purdy performs or what numbers he produces each Sunday, critics attribute his success to his team’s multitude of Pro Bowl playmakers, like Christian McCaffrey, Deebo Samuel, George Kittle and Brandon Aiyuk.

And there are others who call Purdy a “system quarterback,’ a player who almost robotically operates Kyle Shanahan’s offense and delivers the football to players in open spaces as a result of Shanahan’s brilliant play design.

Brock Purdy ‘making every throw’
Ravens safety Kyle Hamiton says that Purdy is “making every throw you can make as a quarterback. He’s on time, on target, makes good decisions. He’s mobile, and he’s got a great cast around him at the same time.
“But I mean, yeah, he’s really good. And props to him. It’s a pretty cool story, what he’s done now, and he’s in the MVP race. It’s going to be a good challenge.”
