Georgia Bulldogs tight end Brock Bowers is one of the best players in the 2024 NFL Draft following an outstanding collegiate career as a two-time All-American. After dominating the SEC for years, Bowers is reportedly one of the most well-liked prospects near the top of this year’s class.

While quarterbacks are widely expected to be the first three picks in 2024, Bowers is still viewed as one of the best prospects in the class. Standing at 6-foot-4, he’s drawn NFL comparisons to San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle.

At Georgia, Bowers became an immediate star. He earned SEC Freshman of the Year in 2021 and was named a second-team All-American in that first season. Over the next two years, Bowers was twice named first-team All-American and he won the John Mackey Award – given to the best tight end in college football – twice.

Used as a blocker, pass-catcher and running back in the Bulldogs’ offense, Bowers is viewed as an even better draft prospect than Kyle Pitts (fourth overall pick in 2021). While he might not go as high as the Pro Bowl tight end, the Bulldogs’ sensation is already generating massive interest from teams with top-10 picks.

According to Tony Pauline of Sportskeeda, the New York Jets (10th pick), Chicago Bears (ninth pick), Tennessee Titans (seventh pick) and Los Angeles Chargers (fourth pick) have shown the most interest in Bowers.

The 21-year-old didn’t participate in athletic testing or drills at the NFL Combine and a minor injury prevented him from working out at Georgia’s Pro Day. Despite that, Bowers is still expected to be one of the first non-quarterbacks taken in the NFL Draft.

Los Angeles would have the first shot at Bowers and given the recent departures of Keenan Allen and Mike Williams, an offensive weapon who can also block would be very beneficial to the Chargers’ offense. If he makes it past them, the Titans or Bears could quickly snag him as a top option to support their young quarterbacks. At the very latest, it appears Bowers might not slip past the Jets with the 10th overall pick.
