Braves star Nick Markakis says Astros players need a ‘beating’

Rival MLB players continue to speak out against the Houston Astros after it was concluded they cheated during their 2017 title season.

By now, Houston’s sign-stealing scandal is well known. With MLB teams reporting to Spring Training over the past week, players have come out of the woodwork in criticizing the team.

That includes Atlanta Braves All-Star outfielder Nick Markakis, who said in no uncertain terms that members of the Astros need a beating.

This really is taking the entire thing to a whole new level.

It was earlier in the week that MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred said that the league will not tolerate retaliation directed at the Astros on the diamond this season.

Based on what we’ve heard this week, MLB will likely have to enforce that at multiple turns. It’s going to be rather interesting.
