Boston Bruins sign Nick Foligno, Linus Ullmark

The Boston Bruins signed free-agent forward Nick Foligno to a two-year, $7.6 million deal on Wednesday.

The Bruins also signed goaltender Linus Ullmark to a four-year, $20 million contact on the first day of the free-agency period.

Foligno, 33, had just 20 points (seven goals, 13 assists) while splitting last season between the Columbus Blue Jackets (42 games) and Toronto Maple Leafs (seven games). Overall, he has 203 goals and 283 assists (486 points) in 957 games over 14 seasons with the Ottawa Senators, Blue Jackets and Maple Leafs.

Foligno scored a career-best 31 goals for the Blue Jackets in the 2014-15 season.

The 27-year-old Ullmark was 9-6-3 with a 2.63 goals-against average and .917 save percentage in 20 appearances for the Buffalo Sabres last season. He spent six seasons with the Sabres and went 50-47-13 with a 2.78 GAA and .912 save percentage.

Boston also announced deals with forwards Erik Haula (two years, $4.75 million) and Tomas Nosek (two years, $3.5 million), and defenseman Derek Forbort (three years, $9 million).

The Bruins also traded goaltender Dan Vladar to the Calgary Flames for a third-round pick in the 2022 draft.
