Blake Griffin and the Brooklyn Nets were having their way against the Milwaukee Bucks in Game 2 of their Eastern Conference Semifinals series Monday evening in the Big Apple.
How bad was it for two-time reigning NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo and his Bucks? Brooklyn found itself up 36-19 in the first quarter after blowing out Milwaukee in Game 2.
Giving us flashbacks to his heyday with the Los Angeles Clippers the better part of a decade ago, Blake Griffin brought down the house at Barclays Center with an empathic dunk on the Greek Freak. It was a sight to behold.
We can count on one hand how many times Griffin has dunked this season. He’s nowhere near the athletic marvel that led to the former No. 1 pick earning six All-Star appearances earlier in his career. Just don’t tell that to Giannis.
Seeing a rebirth of sorts since joining Brooklyn on the buyout market this past spring, Griffin started the game 3-of-3 shooting for seven points while adding six rebounds in his first 15 minutes of action.
